The commissioning of the cooling plant located at Dubai’s Business Bay district which provides 45,000 refrigeration tons of cooling services has set in motion.
The plant has been planned in compliance to international and regional standard in sustainability while the design is in accordance with LEED building principles and Dubai Executive Council’s guidelines on environmental sustainability.
It only took over a year for the plant’s second facility to be constructed in Business Bay. It includes modern infrastructure such as water tanks, pumps, chillers, office space and cooling stations. It is considered the fastest commissioning of a cooling facility of its size in the Middle East. It also expands the geographic range of the project owner to put up buildings from Sheikh Zayed Road at Al Khail Road.
The completion of the plant indicates the dedication of the developing company to provide safe and reliable cooling services to an increasing number of customers. It is said that this will be a fundamental element of a multi-facility district cooling complex in Business Bay. Once completed, the network will service the retail and commercial real estate developments up to 300,000 refrigeration ton.
In addition, the project owner operates the biggest district cooling portfolio in the world. Among its accessible network are landmark real estate developments like the Business Bay, Dubai International Financial Center and Jumeirah Beach Residence.
