Wessal Casablanca Port is still the catalyst for growth in North and West Africa as it grows as a dynamic leader in the development of the value proposition in Morocco with the major advantage of the metropolis having the largest business park reconciled with Casablanca Ocean and Casablanca Finance City.
The integrated MAD6 billion megaproject concentrates on the conversion of some part of the port area of the economic capital in order to meet the multifaceted challenge of development and especially perpetuate the economic attractiveness of the city, offering investors an environment favorable for business and quality services.
The city will see significant changes due to abounding sites all over the place promoting the infrastructure, basic amenities of social support and the urban environment in general structures, and the competitiveness of the city. A new urban center will rise with the development of the medina giving it an additional budget of MAD 300 million and strengthening its tourism dimension, including its coastline to stimulate new dynamics in the region.
This major project provides a unique and comprehensive program, developed in agreement with Royal High Guidelines, which includes the construction of a modern residential complex featuring architectural designs inspired by the world’s major cities like Sydney, New York, London and Abu Dhabi, while not forgetting the Moroccan architectural features.
It also involves the construction of a 53,000 square meter professional complex in the image of large international business, luxury hotel units, commercial spaces and recreation centers, in addition to the planned green spaces.
As it provides the realization of a great city of science, a scientific library reflecting the Royal approach is to be developed to promote cultural activities and to strengthen the skills of young people encouraging their active participation in the development process.
Through the partnership of the private sector and local SMEs, the construction of Wessal Casa Port is expected to commence within 18 months. the rehabilitation works includes infrastructure building, particularly through the creation of a new fishing port worth 450 million dirham, a new ferry terminal worth 100 million dirham, and the transfer of ships or the redevelopment of a new cruise ship terminal for 500 million dirham.
