Energy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) illustrates energy and electricity creation, expenditure and import in UAE and has 7% of international proved oil reserves, approximately 100 billion barrels.
In this regard, UAE is providing $35 billion to expand its energy reserves and lessen its reliance on natural gas imports for power generation.
The Energy Minister of the country, Suhail Al Mazroui stated that they want to diminish their dependence on natural gas and its imports. They are putting $35 billion for that intention and adding their desire to reduce the Opec member’s reliance on natural gas from 100% now to 70% by 2021.
The UAE intends to amplify natural gas production to help convene increasing domestic demand.
