The United Arab Emirates has inked a conformity to cultivate a federal energy service market in a bid to lessen energy use by 30%.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been inked by the energy ministry that will deal with energy preservation in buildings, particularly government headquarters, and delve into prospective for commencing projects in energy protection, according to a report.

The vice chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Saeed Mohammed Al-Tayer, averred that the collaboration with the ministry of energy supports the UAE’s green economy for sustainable development initiative.

This plan commenced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid which intends to form the UAE a world leader in Green Economy, and the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030 to reduce energy expenditure by 30% by 2030.

They are working on developing public and private body affiliations by performing energy competence projects that will increase prospects to optimize the consumption of energy.

Presently, UAE obtains 99% of its domestic energy necessities from burning oil and gas.
