The United Arab Emirates has contributed €750 million to the Wessal fund for the endorsement of Moroccan tourism which was established in 2011 by Morocco, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

The Moroccan tourism minister informed UAE that the 2.5 billion Euro-fund has so far commenced tourism developments worth over 1.5 billion Euros in Casablanca, Rabat and Tangiers.

Furthermore, the minister highlights the importance of UAE investments in the Moroccan tourism sector considering it one of major stakeholders among the gulf countries  in regional and international tourism markets.

The incomparable economic and political relationship between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates is motivating the growth of bilateral support in tourism. It should be noted that the relation between the two countries are also drawing more tourists from the UAE.
