Structural works for The Onyx Development which is located along Sheikh Zayed Road will be finished by November, according to its project developer.
The project refers to the three towers worth a total of $354 million project sitting beside Emaar Busines Park facing the Greens residential development. It involves the construction of 14-storey towers, the Tower 1 which will become an office and the Tower 3 will be used as a hotel. The Tower 2 is a 25-storey mixed-use tower to house offices on the first 11 floors and residential units on the remaining floors above. All these three will rise on a shared platform that will feature 20 retail units, restaurants and a coffee shop.
It was announced that the structure for the office tower will be the first one to finish by the end of next month. The highest tower or the second tower is expected to be completed by the end of November while the Tower 3 will be finished a month earlier or by the month of October.
By November the works for the interiors will become the priority and the number of the laborers or workers is likely to reach 2,000. Currently, there are only around 1,300 workers on site between the developer’s staff and subcontractors.
The whole project targets the fourth quarter of 2015 for its completion.
