The project Sports City in Tangier, Morocco launched this week by King Mohammed VI was marked as a sports center of the next generation uplifting the sports sector of the country.
The Minister of Youth and Sports said that this new project targets a broad category of youth and sports in order to improve and aimed develop their talents and encourage them to practice the sport by coaching in sports clubs.
The goal is to contribute to the revival of the sports city of Detroit, recalling that this infrastructure is part of a network of new sports centers launched by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in cities Errachidia, Guelmim and Ifrane.
For the minister, it is an ambitious sports project within the framework of the new generation of sports equipment with international standards, adding that the Sports City is devoted to the discovery of individual talent to represent worthily Morocco at international sporting events and a suitable space to accommodate major sporting events at national and international levels.
He noted that this project aims to create a new dynamic in the region which is full of sports talents in all disciplines.
The 25 million dirhams new Sports City has a capacity of 4,000 seats, which will be completed within 24 months. It will allow players to develop their talents in the best possible conditions and help the discovery of new talents in this field.
