Zayed Housing Programme (SZHP), a program set up to offer housing for entitled UAE nationals, has stated that its second objective built, modern compound will be set in January.
A week ago, SZHP commenced its first ever dedicated compound, the Etihad Residential Complex, for people in Sharjah.
Currently the AED350mn ($95mn) expansion in Fujairah, comprising of 384 villas, is to follow in the next four months.
Construction work is being accomplished by Sharjah-based Ali Moosa & Sons Contracting, with International Engineering Centre acting as lead consultant. Building of Block A & C started in January last 2013 and Block B in May 2012. The SZHP project manager, Eng. Mosaed Al Muhideb, averred that preferably SZHP would hope to commence three UAE housing projects a year but the total is very much flexible.
This figure is not set in stone as there are a lot of inconsistencies considering this, a lot of connected parties, the project manager added. If they declare three this 2014 they might do five, or if they say three they might do two due t. It is not because of a lacking of planning, it would be more due to procedures.
