The 2km extension starts from the Dubai Sailing Club up to a point adjacent to the Dubai Municipality’s Centre at Umm Suqeim.

Completion rate in the whole project has gone beyond 70% and all works are expected to be finished and the project opened in full next October.

The director of roads, RTA Traffic and Roads Agency stated that the finished part will be opened for the public on July 13. Meanwhile, walking and jogging fanatics are invited to do their sport at the Jumeirah Corniche during this holy month of Ramadan.

The Jumeirah Corniche which expands 14km, extend from the beach closest to six residential areas starting from the backyard of the Dubai Marine Resort up to Burj Al Arab Hotel.

The project includes a jogging track with 4 meters width, a walk measuring five meters in width and rest-houses fitted with commercial booths, public and health facilities and shaded benches overlooking the beach.

This project has an exceptional landscaping idea where an unusual interest had been created to landscaping and plantation works which are being built up and scattered in addition to attractive lighting featuring elegant design.

The Jumeirah Corniche will redirect the sandy beaches to a significant location through adding attractive and amusement elements as well as public services for the beach visitors along with the residents and tourists who gather to the Dubai beaches to enjoy the ambiance.
