The Regie Autonome de Districution D’eau eT D’electricite de Meknes (RADEEM) in Morocco has announced strategy to invest an amount of over MAD933 million for its multi-year plan for 2016-2020.
The said investments have to do with the distribution of electricity and drinking water for MAD491 million and strengthening of the sewerage or waste-water network at a cost of MAD 442 million, as per the plan released by the Board of RADEEM.
This multi-year 2016-2020 plan entails several projects whose purpose is the improvement of the quality of service provided to customers, strengthening and expansion of networks and the connection of non-equipped areas.
Furthermore, the plan indicates improvement in drinking water storage capacity from the installed capacity at the substations and technical network performance, including the launching of the secondary sewage treatment as the main reason of this five-year plan.
An amount of 220 million dirhams was allocated for the 2016 Action Plan which will continue strengthening and modernizing the infrastructure of the three sectors of water, electricity and sewerage.
