On account of the average rate of 5.3% increase implemented across United Arab Emirates in 2013, the country is now popular as destination for professional expatriates.
Conducted by Gulf Talent, a recruitment firm for Middle East and Gulf Region conducted a report related to the increase of expats coming to UAE. The new report also projected that a 5.9% salary increase will be executed in the country this year.
The report stated that Western workers remain easier for Gulf employers as the unemployment and wage stagnation in Europe is still high.
Dubai reigns as the most popular city for expats in the GCC followed by UAE’s capital city, Abu Dhabi. The assumption came after the firm’s survey to 34,000 applicants and 800 employers online. An interview with 60 senior executives within GCC was also conducted.
It has been observed that the employment in the country is growing. Remarkably, 57% of employers hope to increase headcount over the next 12. The hospitality and retail sector is expected to tote up the largest number of staffs.
