Al Marjan Island (AMI) Company has concluded the construction of first phase of the Al Marjan Island Corniche project, making a 3km long pedestrian and cycling pathway along the waterfront.
The project connects Al Marjan with Al Hamra Village by means of an added line parallel to Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Road.
The Corniche mirrors Al Marjan Island’s visualization of a modern waterfront village with inventive recent plans that harmonize the coastal environment and persuade outdoor living and activities.
It is situated on the south-western edge of the Island, and links the Island’s doorway in the south with the projected Food & Beverage Boardwalk to the North.
According to Architect Abdullah Rashed Al Abdooli, managing director of AMI Company, the pictographic Corniche is intended to encourage family activities and healthy living in a waterside place.
It was solicitously planned with ascalable facilities and public areas that persuade both outdoor living and leisure activities with family and friends. It also contains distinctive public art exhibits commemorating the affluent history of Ras Al Khaimah and Northern Emirates.
Meanwhile, Corniche is one of the most recent projects on AMI. It will follow highest standards, most recent plans and inventive architectural elegance, developing an exceptional destination that will further intensify the position of RAK as an international tourism centre for coming years.
This project has been formed based on the discoveries of a complete and widespread analysis made by AMI to combine the real estate projects in RAK Emirate and offer a place for residents to slot in several types of sports activities.
