Nakheel has reached the market with three major construction deals worth Dh2.3 billion for its retail developments.
This incorporates the main contractor for the Night Souq at Deira Islands, and for Warsan Souk and The Circle Mall. These developments will generate an added 2.3 million square feet of retail area and more than 6,700 shops.
The contract value for the Night Souq and boardwalk at Deira Islands will be Dh1.17 billion. Construction is set for completion in 2018. The Souq will extend virtually 2 kilometres next to Deira Islands’ waterfront and be a base for 5,300 outlets and practically 100 quayside restaurants and cafés.
Meanwhile, the Warsan Souq is a center with 1,170 outlets as well as two department stores which is situated linking Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road and Manama Road, adjacent to International City, providing 650,000 square feet of retail area. It will extend across eight buildings, all is containing two floors of retail with three-bedroom town houses which has 433 in total and structured on top.
Completely leased and structures part of the Warsan Village community of 934 construction homes are on course.
The Circle Mall, situated at Jumeirah Village Circle covers 432,000 square feet of space for 235 shops and a multi-screen cinema, other enticements and attractions. Almost half of the leasable area at Circle Mall is reserved. Construction will commence soon, with estimated accomplishment in early 2018
