Air passenger traffic at the Mohammed V International Airport was reportedly increased by 8.51% at the end of July 2014.
The leap was brought about by the boost in the influx of travelers receiving services from the airport whose numbers swell from 4,441,179 passengers in late July 2013 to 4,930,043 passengers in the same period this year, according to statistics from the National Office of Airports (ONDA).
Consequently, the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca has captured nearly 46% of all travelers who passed through the various airports of the Kingdom which reached to 9,706,214 passengers. This is due to the increase in passenger numbers since the beginning of this year, with rates ranging from 6.02% in May to 12.52% in June, the source said.
Most Moroccan airports have experienced variable growth in passengers from Morocco and abroad, ranging from 2.54% to 9.388% with the exception of airports in Tangier, Nador, Al Hoceima, Ouarzazate and that Bouarfa which recorded a fluctuation between 0.66% and 100% of traffic.
