Ouarzazate is a city in southern Morocco, and the chief town of the same name province. It is recognized as “the door of the desert.”

Situated at the meeting of the valleys of the wadi Ouarzazate and wadi Dades (from the High Atlas) that make up the wadi Draa downstream of their convergence it is the center of a huge southern region Moroccan. Ouarzazate reminds both the southern foothills of the High Atlas and the in close proximity to desert.

The innumerable kasbahs adobe, green valleys, mountains and arid plains, and oases, palm groves and red or ocher villages to the fascination of this region and give it a tourist attraction.

The representation of the city is the Kasbah Taourirt (the cons) that belonged to the Glaoui, it would have been constructed around the middle of the 18th  century. It is signified in the new notes of 50 dirhams and is nearby to the Medina.

The agglomeration of the Grand Ouarzazate expands the south side of the river through the village of Tabount – sometimes called “Ouarzazate-South” – part like Kasbah Tifoultoute, the rural town of Tarmigte 1.
