The National electricity and drinking water will be associated with a consultancy firm in order to execute and accomplish its Program contract 2014 to 2017.
The said program having a financial plan amounting to 45 billion dirhams was inked on May 26, 2014 and it is intended to augment the financial state of the office through a variety of proceedings regarding investment, reforming the costs and renovating the system of governance, and improvement of technical and commercial performance. On the second day of July the office has launched a tender to choose among existing consultancy firms that would support them in carrying out the program for four years.
The selected consulting firm, whose name will be declared on July 25. It will assist the committee monitoring program contract (CP) to examine the operation and progress of the contract and also will be in charge in the assessment of its influence to Onee. It will also provide an analysis of the results of the realization of the responsibilities, in addition to the preparation of detailed studies to meet the demands of monitoring and control of the CP.
The assessment and monitoring practices will be headed by a committee comprising of the Ministry of Economy and Finance – Department of Public Enterprises and Privatization, representatives from Departments of Energy and Mines, General Affairs and Governance and Interior and a representative of the Head of Government services. This committee will assemble for at least once every quarter to evaluate the status of CP.
