A new initiative to increase trade and investment between entrepreneurs in the MaghrebNew Initiative Launched for Maghreb Entrepreneurs in Morocco Region was launched during a forum held in Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco.
Entitled the ‘Initiative Maghreb Trade and Investment (IMCI), the forum focused on the practical and strategic entrepreneurial approach on trade and investment. The initiative is an idea of the CGEM, current president of the EMU and organizer Forum Marrakech.
Also, some impediment discussed is the continued closure of the Algerian-Moroccan border.
Around 18,000 people attended the two-day forum consisting of entrepreneurs from five countries of the Maghreb, 60 stakeholders in the five countries of the Maghreb, Africa and Europe, among others.
The event which is the third of its kind in the context of Union of Entrepreneurs of the Maghreb includes plenary and thematic workshops on issues such as the cost of non-Maghreb, logistics integration, Maghreb energy, employment and intra-Maghreb social dialogue, services or customs convergence and regulatory.
