The groundbreaking ceremony was held for the forthcoming $26 million or AED 75million chemical storehouse and bagging plant  in Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA).

Considered as first of its kind in the area, the 3.25 hectare storage tower and bagging is a construction project of a Belgian and Greek Group who have offices in the UAE.

The facility will be built with green building technology and high class security elements to make sure safe management and storage of different types of liquid and solid chemicals.

The facility is intended to produce 250,000 tons bulk material of plastic granules every year and accommodate over 15,000 pallet positions for packed chemical and plastic granules products. The Greek company is in charge for the technical support required for everuday bagging process.

It is expected to be fully operation by mid 2016, it will cater for the demands in polymers and the facility will improve the market delivery of liquid logistics due to its location near  Jebel Ali Port and Maktoum International Airport.
