Musanada, the General Service Company and The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi revealed that the construction work has been 60% completed on the new 62-kilometre Abu Dhabi-Dubai Highway.
The road is approximated to be finished by the end of 2015 crossing from Seih Shuaib to Sweihan Interchange.
The Director General of Highways, Eng. Faisal Ahmad Al Suwaidi, stated that the new highway will ease traffic load on the existing Abu Dhabi-Dubai E11, bring down accident rates and link Khalifa Port and Industrial Zone with existing and upcoming course network east E11. Once completely finished, the project will be a broad tactical course connecting the Abu Dhabi with Dubai and Northern Emirates.
Acting Director of Roads, Musanada, Engineer Omar Mattar Al Mansouri, disclosed that they are dedicated to bringing the project as indicated by the plan structure and timeline. They try hard to outshine in all projects Musanada takes on. This strengthens the pledge of the company to obtaining the directions of Abu Dhabi’s Government of reinforcing the socio-economic development nationally at the same time enhancing the excellence of infrastructure by executing projects.
The 62-kilometre four-lane highway in both directions is an expansion of Mohammad Bin Zayed Road in Seih Shuaib Area at the boundary of Dubai. Passing through Al Maha Forest, Kizad, Al Ajban Road, Zayed Military City to Sweihan Road, the new highway involves six underground passes and six bridges, thus improving security benchmarks by reducing possibilities of impacts with animals.
The project has been cultivated as maintained by top-notch standards of keeping natural resources by utilizing environmentally and friendly materials and executing green sustainability practices.
