Morocco‘s tourism industry acquired MAD 61.9 billion in 2014, compared to MAD 59.2 billion in 2013, statistics revealed according to the High Commission for Planning (HCP).

Morocco’s Tourism Industry Obtained 6.7% of GDP
Tourism got 6.7% of Morocco’s gross domestic product (GDP) in 2014, compared to 6.6% in 2013.
Information divulged that the HCP recorded that because of an upsurge in tourism products net tax subsidies of 10.3%, tourism noted a progress of 4.7% in 2014.
Tourism also added value boosted by 3.3%, from 49.3 billion MAD in 2014 compared to MAD 47.7 billion in 2013.
Domestic tourism spending amplified by 5.4%, arriving at MAD 107.6 billion in 2014 compared to MAD 102.1 billion in 2013. Domestic spending of inbound tourism – foreigners’ consumptions in Morocco, amplified 4.7%, from MAD 74.9 billion in 2014 compared to MAD 71.5 billion in 2013. Domestic spending of outbound tourism – Moroccan nationals’ consumptions in foreign countries, boosted by 6.9%, from MAD 32.7 billion in 2014 compared to MAD 30.5 billion in 2013.
All kinds of domestic tourism spending amplified from 29.9% in 2013 to 30.4% in 2014.
