Comprised of 85 leading companies in the electricity sector, electronics and renewable energy, the Business to Business (B2B) Moroccan mission was held under the sponsorship of Export Morocco in partnership with the National Federation of Electricity, Electronics and Renewable energy (FENELEC).
The African tour aims to benefit the real business opportunities in the continent and also to exchange knowledge on innovative solutions. This missions destinations are Burkina Faso, Gabon and Republic of Congo. This will therefore ensure proper management of energy resources and develop partnerships with specialized companies. The exploration of the African market by Moroccan operators are part of the royal policy to strengthen South-South partnership and make Africa a business destination and opportunities.
Morocco occupies a good position in renewable energies. It has experienced an average increase of about 7.2% in demand, which id brought about by economic and social growth, the universal access to electricity (PERG), the development of major projects and improving the standard of living of the population. Renewable energy in Morocco is subject to a diversified portfolio of projects. In 2013, renewable energy made its share of 4% to the national energy contributing to the production of nearly 10% of the electrical energy.
Apart from professional meetings, the Moroccan experience will be introduced through plenary sessions, workshops, site visits and conferences with the main theme of “The emergence of renewable energy”.
