In the very recent 2013 Prosperity Index result, Morocco occupied that rank 4 as the most prosperous and well-being country in the Arab World.
As stated in the report released by London based Legatum Institute, UAE ranks 1st, 2nd is Kuwait, 3rd is Saudi Arabia and Jordan at 5th among Arab countries.
The ranking was based on business opportunities, economic performance, education, entrepreneurship, initiatives in fighting against corruption, governance, personal freedom, health, social capital, security, and safety.
Referring to global rank, Kingdom of Morocco takes the 82nd spot out of more than a hundred nations; the UAE at rank 28th, Kuwait at 33th, Saudi Arabia at 50th, Jordan at 88th, Tunisia at 91st, Algeria at 99th, Egypt at 108th and Mauritania at 125th at the global level.
For five times in a row, Norway is the World’s Most Prosperous Country, Switzerland follows at the 2nd spot, Canada (3rd), Sweden (4th), New Zealand (5th) and Denmark (6th). Countries which have been affected by the economic challenges lost four and two positions respectively taking the 11th position the for United States and 16th the for United Kingdom in the new world rankings.
