Morocco becomes Africa’s most preferred countries in 2014.
With 55.7 million worldwide vacationers’ arrivals to Africa in the past year, Morocco was ranked first among the top five African nations that established most of vacationers followed by South Africa, Tunisia, Algeria and Mozambique.
With approximately 10 million vacationer arrivals in 2013, an upsurge of 6% compared to year 2012, Morocco, is decided to attain the “Vision 2020″ plan which intended to twice the figure of visitors.
South Africa comes second with 9.5 million visitor arrivals last year 2013. Tunisia, Algeria and Mozambique received 6.2 million, 2.7 million and 2.1 million correspondingly.
The tourism division in the kingdom has earned 174 billion dirhams of foreign exchange income and revenue of over 310 billion dirhams, according to the Moroccan Minister of Tourism, Lahcen Haddad.
The government verifies its responsibility to making the tourism business an actual expansion lever and a supply for prosperity and employment for the advantage of youth.
The minister also stated that due to its abounding history and exceptional variety of its landscapes, Morocco is decided to join the club of the world’s top 20 tourism destinations by 2020.
