In the context of the Middle East and North Africa – Organization for Economic Co-Morocco, Leading Nation in Economic and Development Program in MENAoperation and Development program (MENA-OECD) meeting, the Kingdom of Morocco was commended as a leading country of the initiative.
Participants said that the Kingdom occupies a headship position and all members were very satisfied.
“Thanks to the reforms undertaken under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco is moving towards modernity, and openness,” noted by the Co-chair of the MENA-OECD Investment Program for Governance along with Minister of Public services and the modernization of the administration.
For his part, OECD’s Director of the Public Governance and Territorial Development Directorate described the country as “very significant” in the reforms undertaken by the Kingdom. “
We are pleased with working with Morocco,” he said, supporting the commendation that the achievements of Morocco serve as an example for other countries”.
The Initiative on Governance and Investment for Development is a regional effort, initiated and led by countries in the MENA Region. The program promotes broad reforms to enhance the investment climate, modernize governance structures and operations, strengthen regional and international partnerships, and promote sustainable economic growth throughout the MENA region.
This initiative has two pillars constituting the committee; The MENA-OECD Governance Program and the MENA-OECD Investment Program.
