In the context of the Middle East and North Africa – Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development program (MENA-OECD) meeting, the Kingdom of Morocco was commended as a leading country of the initiative.
Participants said that the Kingdom occupies a headship position and all members were very satisfied.
Co-chair of the MENA-OECD Investment Program for Governance together with Minister of Public services and the modernization of the administration stated that all because of the reforms that were undertaken through the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco is moving towards modernity and openness.
OECD’s Director of the Public Governance and Territorial Development Directorate for his part described Morocco as “very important” in the reforms undertaken by the Kingdom and is pleased with working with the country. The director fully supports the commendation that the achievements of Morocco serve as an example for other nations.
The Initiative on Governance and Investment for Development is a regional effort, initiated and led by countries in the MENA Region. The program promotes wide reforms to improve the investment setting, innovate governance operations and structures, solidify regional and global partnerships, and encourage sustainable economic growth throughout the Middle East and North African region.
This initiative has two pillars constituting the committee; The MENA-OECD Governance Program and the MENA-OECD Investment Program.
