The Minister of Agriculture and Marine Fisheries stated that Morocco is the world’s best in the manufacture of sardines with almost 57% of national fish production.
Talking about the first version of “Festival of Sardine” which celebrated from August 27 to 31 concurrently in five coasts of the kingdom including Martil, Al Hoceima, , Dakhla, Mehdia and Agadir-Taghazout.
The minister averred that Morocco presently has 22 ports of fish, 22 halls, 7 wholesale markets, and units for industrial fish.
The Minister pompously hailed the accomplishments of Morocco within this part, remarking that sardines have continuously engaged a special location in the consumption lifestyle of Moroccans in stipulations of their dietary price and the value that is at the extent of all sections of society.
On the other hand, the customer organizations across the kingdom held contrary. The minister stated that it is only applicable for coastal cities and not intended for all the regions of the kingdom. Within the country, citizens don’t have this tradition of sardine expenditure because they are unusual on the marketplace.
