31 government departments and public institutions will use environmentally friendly cars toMoroccan Government will Go Green help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The initiative is the result of Japanese grant of 170 new generation environmentally friendly vehicles.

This is the first-of-a-kind activity in the line-up of the Moroccan government, which will be publicly presented on March 19 at 10 am during a ceremony key vehicle to be donated, as chair Japan’s ambassador to Morocco, Tsuneo Kurokawa, and the Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, Abdelkader Amara.

As a reminder, Japan had granted Morocco a donation of about 50 million DH , for the provision of Japanese green cars of the new generation in order to support the efforts made by Morocco to promote clean energy and popularization of cars in harmony with the environment, minimizing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.

As a history, the agreement was signed on 13 March 2013, by the former foreign minister, Saad El Dine Otmani and former amabassadeur Japan Morocco, Toshinori Yanagiya.

Note that most makes of Japanese cars offer hybrid vehicles including Mitsubishi, Nissan and Toyota.
