The declaration was brought by Hamid Chabat, Mayor of Fez, during the opening ceremony of the Place de l’Amérique Latine, at the Jardin Champ de Courses.

Meanwhile, head of the group, Hicham Jamai divulged that the landworks will begin shortly. However, he did not state any precise date.

The man-made beach will be constructed surrounding Oued Fez, in the vicinity of the royal palace, and will be outfitted with a port (marina) which will be able to lodge small boats and jet skis.

The water to supply the man-made beach will be taken from the rural commune of Ain Allah, under the administrative governor the Moulay Yacoub region.

Information also divulged that the beach of Oued Fez will extend more than a total area of 22 hectares, will be at no cost to enter, and will contain a women only area.
