Morocco’s 3rd edition of the IRSEC-2015 (International Renewable and Sustainable Energy Conference) kicked off with the initiative of the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy (MASEN) and the MSTI (Mediterranean Space Technology andInnovation) for regional and global green research.
Held in Marrakech and Ouarzazate, the said event was brought about by the forthcoming launch of the largest solar power plant in Ouarzazate, expected in 2016, and by the historic agreement of the COP21 held in Paris.
The IRSEC-2015 aims to promote exchanges and to contribute to the promotion and development of renewable energy. The activities of this international conference include plenary lectures, oral communications and posters.
This conference is an idea of Masen to support the national energy strategy through actions to develop skills and necessary capabilities to meet the challenges of economic and industrial development and seize the opportunities created by green growth.
This event was attended by 300 participants from 16 countries and a group of world class speakers to impart their experiences. Fifteen students were allowed to completely participate in this event for free to and showcase their work.
