Major oil exploration in Morocco rendezvous on 7 and 8 May in Marrakech for Morocco Oil & Gas Summit 2014. The event is jointly organized by the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) and the International Research Networks (IRN). It will highlight the Moroccan energy strategy with a focus on oil and gas exploration.
Opportunities in the Moroccan market for onshore and offshore explorations have pride of place at the summit. Also a chance for the different implanted in Morocco to present the progress of their project groups. Africa will also be honored during this last day.
They will highlight the French experience in regulating the transport and logistics in particular, as well as tracks that Morocco could draw. For two days, participants and discuss the market potential of the oil and gas exploration, by providing recommendations to better lead the Moroccan strategy.
In addition, the margins of workshops and conferences, several groups take the opportunity to present their products, equipment and services including energy exploration and drilling. According to IRN, this event organized for the first time in Morocco. It confirms the interest of large groups to this emerging market but will mostly be a platform for discussion and meetings between these majors, experts and the Moroccan authorities. Last 2013, 39 oil exploration projects were conducted in Morocco, according to IRN.
