HM King Mohammed VI unveiled and introduced, a set of projects, part of the Tangier-Metropolis program, to endorse women’s social-economic conditions and protect children from poorest families.

The Sovereign commenced a women’s education and training center in the Mghogha Lakbira region and commenced construction works of a center for active women in Bir Chifa region, a center for mothers in agony at the Branes neighborhood, a female student campus “Dar Attaliba” in the Mghogha Lakbira region.

Around 27.5 million dirhams, these community projects highlight the awareness and attention given by HM the King to human development and stable will to accord all social groups the measures and devices of social-economic incorporation to grant them a possibility to take an active part in the country’s improvement.

The women education and training center in the Mghogha Lakbira region that the Sovereign commenced construction works in March 2014 intends to buoy up deprived and underprivileged women by giving them different skills such as design-sewing, cooking, hair-dressing, pastry, and embroidery to help them obtain secure incomes through income-generating activities.

The 5.2 million dirhams center, co-sponsored by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), the National Mutual Help administration, the Tangier-Assilah prefecture and a set of NGOs, will endorse useful and practical literacy of beneficiary women, carry out awareness-raising activities and care for their children under 3.

On it part, the 3.5 million dirhams center for active women in Bir Chifa neighborhood will obtain better social constancy and flourishing profitable incorporation for beneficiaries.

Constructed on 1,154 square meters, the center will provide women in this neighborhood an opportunity to take literacy classes and be trained in income-generating activities like clothes-cutting and sewing, embroidery, glass drawing and ceramics, and allow their children to take excellence pre-school education.

The project, to be fulfilled in 18 months, is performed in cooperation with the area of Tangier-Assilah, the Tangier city hall and the national mutual help administration.

The 8 million dirmahs Children’s home seeks to encourage children advancement, offer ethical and emotional and mental foundation to children in a tough circumstances and information, education and awareness-raising on children rights.
