Demand for portable power in the GCC increased in 2015 on the back of its large-scale construction projects under development.
The electrical project manager at Al Shafar General Contracting (ASGC), Franklin Joseph, stated that consistency continues as the main issue in working with provisional power in the region.
Joseph also added that 2015 saw the announcement and improvement in large construction projects in the region of GCC, and this has urged the demand for portable power solutions.
On the other hand, because of the disposition of these projects and the severe weather conditions in the GCC region, dependability has become a main issue in the design and installation of portable power solutions.
A consistent portable power system guarantees no man-hours are lost and makes sure for a better project development.
Joseph said he anticipates demand for portable power services will see steady growth this year.
Factors such as enhanced competence, lower emissions, and lower running prices will be main highlights in the variety of portable power systems.
Since most of the new projects in the region are large-scale, advanced systems such as matched generator sets, which give more consistency and let lower fuel expenditure have become progressively more popular than to the conventional systems.
He also averred that sustainable technology will act a major responsibility in the portable power zone also, with improvements like solar panels and low-consumption LED lights, which diminish the inconvenience on customary generators. The common trend would be towards solutions that are energy proficient and have low running prices.
