Hosted by Canadian University, the 6th Wireless and Mobile Networking Conference (WMNC) will take place at the majestic resort in Palm Dubai, The Atlantis.
A forum between experts, researchers, practitioners and students interested on the innovation of mobile and wireless networks, services, applications and mobile computing is one of the highlight.
The three tracks that are to be discussed are: Track 1, Wireless and Mobile Communciations and Networks; Track 2, Wireless Sensor and Actor Networks, Ad hoc Networks; and; Track 3, Applications and Services over Wireless and Mobile Networks.
WMNC 2013 is co-sponsored by the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineering (IEEE) and the International Federation for Signal Processing (IFIP) – the world’s largest professional associations for the advancement of technology.
Spearheading the event is Professor Rachid Benlamri, an expert in wireless and mobile networking. “The Canadian University of Dubai is proud of its own research partnerships with top research laboratories around the world. We hope that by hosting WMNC’13 we can share our passion for discovery with the wider UAE community”, he said on a press release.
Professor Karim Chelli, President and Vice-Chancellor of the Canadian University of Dubai also added “Through WMNC’13 and other events, the Canadian University of Dubai aims to bring the best minds to Dubai in support of education and innovation, not just for the benefit of our students and scholars, but also the wider UAE community.”
Meanwhile, key members of the Dubai eGovernment Department are expected to attend in line with its future strategy of the City.
According to Mr. Buti Saeed al Ghandi, Chancellor of the Canadian University of Dubai, mobile and wireless technologies plays a key role in Dubai’s eGovernment Department strategy. “We are pleased to be able to bring together world-class experts and Government stakeholders for discussion and presentations that are very relevant to Dubai’s future growth”, he stated.
Presence of the biggest and most important institutions in the public and private sectors in the UAE, including Government Ministries, Municipalities, Universities, Airlines, IT Firms, Banks and wireless communication giants Etisalat and Du are also expected to attend the event.
