Last September, cast and production crew of Hollywood movie Fast and Furious 7 started filming the 7th part of the street car racing and some scenes in the capital city of the United Arab Emirates.
Supposedly, about a hundred artists and production staff, such as celebrity actors Walker and Diesel, were scheduled to arrive in Abu Dhabi to shoot movie sequences at a number of famous landmarks in Abu Dhabi.
But, following the death of Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker, Universal Pictures shut temporarily froze the production of the movie to assess all options available to move forward with the franchise.
Walker passed away after the Porsche driver he was traveling back from a charity affair lost control and rammed into a lamp post.
Last week, Hollywood star Vin Diesel has announced the release date of Fast and Furious 7 and parts of the scenes are scheduled to be filmed in Abu Dhabi.
On his Facebook page, he posted a picture of him next to his late co-star Paul Walker with the caption “Fast and Furious 7 will be released 10 April 2015!”
The film grossed $789 million (£482m) at the worldwide box office and Universal Pictures have said they will give the earnings from the upcoming DVD release to Paul’s charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
