The $147 million contract for the expansion of Dubai Properties’ Remraam development in Dubailand area has been awarded to a local company.
According to the project owner, the sub-structure of the buildings are completed at some extent and the contract entails the construction and completion of nine groups or 18 buildings including the landscaping works at the podium level. The construction work is set to be finished by November 2016.
The said project is an answer to the rising demand for affordable housing in Dubai and to meet the needs of the market for residential properties for the mid-income sector as stated by the Chief Officer for urban planning and infrastructure of Dubai Properties Group.
In addition, the launching the units in Remraam are a response to the growing demands for family homes and investment-geared properties.
