Emirates revealed it would arrange its Airbus A380 to additional destinations across its system in 2016.
The Dubai carrier averred Birmingham (BHX), Prague (PRG) and Taipei (TPE) have been included to its roll of A380 destinations. It signifies that Emirates is the only airline to carry out a programmed A380 service from each of these destinations.
Emirates’ daily Birmingham flight will be up-measured to an A380 starting March 27, whereas the services to Prague and Taiwan will begin from May 1. Furthermore, Barcelona will be served with a second daily A380 service from June 1.
Presently, there are 36 A380 destinations on the Emirates network, whilst its fleet of 71 is largest in the world.
The airline has been in discussions with Airbus in excess of a completely re-engined edition of the A380.
At an earlier time this month, it stated that it would stop working 26 older aircraft next year as it seems to modify its fleet and create it extra fuel effective.
The planes being retired in 2016 are 12 A330-300s, four A340-300s, one A340-500, six Boeing 777-200ERs, two Boeing 777-300s and one Boeing 777-300ER.
Simultaneously, Emirates will include 36 new planes to its fleet in 2016. These planes comprise 20 Airbus A380s.
