Dubai Parks and Resorts has revealed that it has established a contract with the UK’s Merlin Entertainments to launch a new Legoland Dubai water park.

The companies had already arranged a contract for a Legoland theme park, which is one of three that has been agreed for the resort, along with a motiongate and a Bollywood Parks outlet.

The new water park will feature fascinations as well as a half-million gallon wave pool, a Build-A-Raft River and an Imagination Station that allows children build bridges, dams and cities and test their plans against the flow of water.

The CEO of Dubai Parks and Resorts, Raed Al Nuaimi, stated that they are engaged to give remarkable experiences for visitors of all ages at Dubai Parks and Resorts. They are consequently very delighted to associate with Merlin Entertainments to make this unique water park perception to the UAE as a thrilling new element to the Legoland Dubai theme park.

The CEO of Merlin Entertainments, Nick Varney, averred that they already have a robust working collaboration with Dubai Parks and Resorts and this LEGOLAND Water Park is an exhilarating and natural development to their existing Park development here in Dubai.

Dubai Parks and resorts is aiming for visitor numbers of approximately 6.7 million in the first 12 months after it opens in October 2016.
