Dubai’s Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate has signed a contract with Laservision Mega Media for the production of a “tremendous grand” attraction at Festival City Mall in Dubai.
Construction on the attraction is believed to be a water and lights show similar to the Dancing Fountain near Burj Khalifa, has started and will be fully ready by the third quarter of 2016. This will be Dubai’s a first-to-market, must-see, world class waterfront experience that will excite and engage our visitors both expats and residents.
The contractor has previously transported worldwide attractions such as Hong Kong’s A Symphony of Lights, which was awarded the World’s Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show by Guinness World Records, and Southeast Asia’s largest light and water show, Wonder Full at Marina Bay in Singapore.
This current expansion will definitely place Dubai Festival City Mall among the top shopping and leisure destinations in the Emirates with some additional 27,000 sq m in commercial space to entertain key new anchors, more diverse retail brands and over 75 F&B outlets. Dubai Festival City Mall is a 2m sq ft retail resort that forms the core of Dubai Festival City and will offer shops, restaurants, cafés and bistros, a 12-screen Novo Cinemas complex and parking for 6,500 cars as well.
