The Agricultural Development Fund (ADF) has awarded the agriculture Doukkala-Abda
regional management office nearly 204 million dirham’s intended for agricultural development projects.
Budget stated will be used to promote private investment in the agricultural sector in Doukkala-Abda region. These includes equipping farms agricultural machinery (44%), hydro-agricultural development (41%), the intensification of livestock and agricultural production (41%), in addition to the acquisition fruit plants (1%), the document said.
The same report indicates that the value of the grants had the same upward trend, rising from 79 in 2008 to 228 MDH MDH in 2012, recording an increase of 189%.
Since the creation of one-stop services in 2008 under the Agriculture Doukkala-Abda regional management, 18,000 cases were treated for 984 MDH grants.
As proof, the investment generated by subsidies to farmers reached DH 2.46 billion over the past six years.
The FDA is an essential instrument in the implementation of government policy in the agricultural sector, particularly in the context of the Green Morocco Plan. It also represents an investment leverage contributing to the overall growth of the economy and improving the incomes of farmers.
