Sharjah’s Investment and Development Authority presented its latest project Noor Island which spreads more than 45,470 square meters in the Khalid Lagoon.
Noor Island, which will likely open to the public by end of this year, is worth DH80 million and was proposed to develop the emirate and uplift its economic and social standing as well as to underline its pose of being the front liner for tourism cultural and investment destination.
The project includes attractions like The Butterfly House which came from the idea of showcasing the butterflies’ natural habitat, a pedestrian overpass to be built as the island’s entry way, a playground for the children, a Literature gazebo, and an egg-shaped OVO Art Sculpture.
The project developer has offered tourist destinations like The Flag Island, Heart of Sharjah as well as other water and amusement parks. Other tourism projects including resorts are also currently underway.
