In partnership with the group specializing in automation and power technologies, ABB, Dubai Electricity and Water Authorization (DEWA) to build up a solar power project at the site of its partner in Al Quoz with a grid-connected rooftop 277kW photovoltaic (PV) system).
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the project will be attached to DEWA’s grid using a low-voltage distribution board. The said board will be utilized as a tool for the consumption of solar rooftop installations in Dubai
The managing director and CEO of DEWA and the CEO for ABB in the UAE signed the MoU. The CEO of DEWA expressed his delight in collaborating with ABB and making DEWA’s vision to develop into a sustainable world-class utility.
The partnership exhibits how government and private organizations can support each other to improve Dubai’s sustainable development, and set up its standing as an international center for green economy, finance, trade and tourism, according to DEWA’s Managing Director and CEO.
The CEO of ABB averred that they are on the side of DEWA in its advocacy to improve the solar industry in the Emirate and also to display the technologies and how they can be incorporated effortlessly into the present electrical grid.
Furthermore, ABB also share DEWA’s vision to make Dubai will be a first-class smart city and energy-efficient. They are firm that the initiatives of DEWA will be realized through their innovations and technologies.
