The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will begin receiving expressions of interest for the third phase of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum Solar Park at the end of September.
Report revealed that the tender for the project is an 800 megawatt power plant and will be commenced in the fourth quarter of 2015.
Dubai has made two times the capacity of the second phase of the solar park from 100 MW to 200 MW after getting the lowest ever noted rate for solar power in a tender won by Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power and Spain’s TSK.
Tactical plans envisage 7% of power generation from renewables by 2020 and 15 percent by 2030 in Dubai.
The 13 MW first phase turned into equipped in October 2013, whereas the 200 MW second phase will be outfitted by 2017.
On the other hand, the full solar park system will include a capacity of 3,000 MW.
