The city of Marrakech in Morocco is overflowing with vigor as COP22 or the 22nd Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework on Climate Change (UNFCCC) kicks off.

The event will open on November 10, 2016 at 3:30pm in Bab Ighli, Green Zone city of Marrakech.

The United Nations has chosen Morocco to host its annual convention on climate change. The COP22 is an environment-friendly program which is programmed to assess the developments which have been accomplished in accordance with the efforts done to fight global warming. All the nations that are attending will be tackling the programs and agreements that are prepared to protect them from the remarkably negative effects of climate and environmental change.

The COP22 is now dubbed as “The COP of Action, 3:30pm” and the first meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement is entitled CMA1. The success of the meeting will give birth to the administrating party of the Paris Agreement which will have power covering the entirely administrative, technical, operational, and practical concerns.  To make the story short, the meeting is essential in reaching conclusions and defining the course of action to materialize the decisions.

It must be noted that the Paris Agreement was enforced to be implemented last November 4. This major environmental awareness event is currently creating its mark as the catalyst for a cleaner surroundings and a rundown carbon prospect.  The said agreement has made significant steps in shifting the world from depending on fossil fuels to acknowledging the benefits of green energy. With regards to the major event, the Council on Arab World Relations with Latin America and the Caribbean (CARLAC) has organized a one-day COP22 event with the title Low Carbon Renewable Energy: Lessons from MENA and Latin America Regions”.  The event will open on November 10, 203:30 pm at in Bab Ighli, Green Zone city of Marrakech.
The entrepreneur based in Abu Dhabi, and the Chief Finance Officer and Founding Member of CARLAC, Mohamed Dekkak, along with the other officials of CARLAC cordially encourages the environment advocates, the business peoples, associates and field experts to attend this very momentous side event and to partake to the dynamic dialogue regarding the problems brought by climate change.

CARLAC has organized the event in partnership with OCP Policy Center, which is a policy-oriented think tank established in Rabat alongside the business conglomerate Masdar, FGV and School of Public Policy.

It must be noted that CARLAC is a non-governmental and non-partisan organization which aims to find means in developing suitable grids to delve into a wide-ranging runs of dialogues and joint cooperation of the Arab World, Latin America and the Carribean on numerous subjects of mutual interests with investment, trade and commerce, social development, higher education, and cultural discussions.
