As part of the new strategic vision and the Emergency Plan of the city, the Councils of the City and the region have signed an agreement on the upgrading of cultural, sports and entertainment facilities.

The said agreement contains five projects as expected by Casablanca. This is the fulfillment of the Sports City of Greater Casablanca, the rehabilitation of the park of the Arab League, the upgrading of Mohammed V complex, the redevelopment of Ain Sebaâ Zoo and development of Bouskoura Merchich forest.

The total cost of projects, which should be carried out between 2015 and 2020 is estimated at 1.13 billion dirham.  DH220 million is allocated for the upgrade of Mohammed V complex planned in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports through the National Fund for the Development of Sport (FNDS), the Ministry of Interior, the province, prefecture districts of Casa-Anfa, the urban district, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and Casa Landscaping company.

The proposed upgrade of the legendary stadium of the city will cover the renovation of the playing field, locker rooms and forums, upgrading and furnishing of the conference room, the installation of new bleachers, construction and development of the examination room, the annex stadium and its parts, the Olympic swimming pool, mini-football field and the hotel.

The urban district contributes in the financing of this project at around 30 million dirham, 130 million dirham from FNDS, 20 million dirham from FRMF and 40 million dirham the Ministry of the Interior.
