Survey has categorized Morocco’s economic hub Casablanca as the world 44th most competitive global financial hub.
It was mentioned that Casablanca scored 657 points, ranking 44th among 84 worldwide financial hubs listed by the consulting companies. Casablanca has elevated by twelve points on this year’s list.
Morocco’s biggest and most crowded city is the second most competitive financial hub in Africa behind Johannesburg, South Africa.
London made on the top list with 796 points, beating New York, which was ranked as number one in 2014. Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Seoul were categorized third, fourth, fifth and sixth, correspondingly.
The consulting group issues the Global Financial Centers Index in March and September each year.
The study is a ranking of competitiveness based on 29,000 evaluations of financial hubs around the world.
It applies widespread and comprehensive method and on-line assessment and above 100 files from different groups, such as United Nations, the World Bank, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, and the Economist Intelligence Unit.
