In lieu to help British small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to build up business in UAE, Brtish Global Business Master Plan, To Launch In UAEBritish Government will set up business centers in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. UAE is one of the 20 pilot markets included in UK’s master plan.
During the UK-UAE Business Council held in Manchester last May 20, the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the UK Department of Trade and Investment (UKTI) and British Business Group took place.
The signing was witnessed by Lord Marland of Odstock, the UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy, Chairman of the UK-UAE Business Council and Abu Dhabi’s Department of Economic Development Chairman Nasser Alsowaidi.
Under MOU, two business centers will be initially established in UAE as the launching market for British government’s “global business master plan”. This is an initiative of Minister Lord Green’s UK Trade and Investment to improve the competitiveness of British companies overseas.
The UK and the UAE have a shared aim to increase trade between both countries by 60 percent, from levels in 2009 up to £12bn ($18bn) by 2015.
