Art Dubai can assert to be the largest single showcase of Arab artists in the world.
This is the major reason that collectors, museums, gallery owners and art aficionados take a trip from all over to visit. However, as the fair director, Antonia Carver, highlighted, it was also one of the most comprehensive of art fairs which this year more than 500 artists and 92 galleries from 40 nations are exhibiting, quite an accomplishment for an exhibition that is less than 10 years old.
Typically, the galleries are divided into three primary sections such as Contemporary, Modern and Marker. The majority (72) are in the two contemporary halls. Carver averred that it was a sign of certainty in the fair that several of the galleries have opted to bring solo exhibitions or a maximum of two artists.
Art Dubai had opened its access to the public at Madinat Jumeirah and ran until March 21. The ninth edition of the fair was the biggest to date with 92 galleries from 40 nations.
Visitors surely enjoyed the exhibition’s different programming, as well as custom-built site-specific works for Art Dubai Projects; an exhibition by winners of The Abraaj Group Art Prize; the five-day conference Global Art Forum; a live radio station; film and video screenings; The Sheikha Manal Little Artists Program for children and teenagers; plus an schedule of performances, curator-led tours, book launches, talks and collateral events.
Antonia Carver stated that they were happy to be able to launch the following fantastic preview. The response from visitors had been tremendously encouraging. She also added that they were delighted to share such a widespread programme with the public this year, with exhibition tours, events and programmes for all ages and interests.
