A new tower which is to be included in Dubai’s Top 10 tallest building will be constructed Dubai’s central business district, one block away from the world’s record holder Burj Khalifa. The 369-metre tower project was awarded to Arabtec Construction with Dh1.8 billion contract.
The new Dubai skyscraper was designed by Atkins with 77 floors, 22,000 square meters of office space on 18 floors, and 908 sq meters of retail area. The tower to construct this month and is expected to be completed by May 2017will includes a 350-room hotel and 83 serviced apartments, as well as 180 luxurious apartments.
Since the global financial crisis hit the country, the new tower will be the tallest building to start constructing in Dubai and said as an obvious proof of rebounding confidence in the property market.
“This tower will be a quality addition to Arabtec’s already high-profile backlog in the UAE and across the region,” the Managing director and Chief Executive of Arabtec Holding said. “Our appointment to build this high-rise building in the heart of Dubai’s business centre is a strong endorsement of our unique capabilities in delivering high-quality complex structures.”
