Abu Dhabi Ports forecasts an upsurge of 19% in their cargo volumes for the first nine months of 2015, as compared to the similar time in 2014.
The volumes amplified to 11.2 million tonnes in the first three quarters of 2015 from 9.4 million tonnes in the same period last year.
Abu Dhabi Ports place a record in the first three quarters of 2015 by operating the highest volumes of general and bulk cargo for the month of July and August.
Merged volumes of approximately 2.86 million tonnes in these two months registered the highest volumes of general and bulk cargoever operated by Abu Dhabi Ports.
Abu Dhabi Ports’ amplified general and bulk cargo volumes in the first three quarters of 2015 show that the tactic to put in inventive technologies, state-of-the-art infrastructure and client concentrated services has paid off.
The oldest commercial port in Abu Dhabi, Zayed Port operated the huge bulk of steel imported and exported in the Emirate. Zayed Port also remarked 13% progress in general and bulk cargo volumes in the first nine months of 2015 compared to the similar time in 2014.
Latest modern cranes and other gears, and execution of latest technologies such as a terminal operating system, Jade Master Terminal, as part of a continuing improvement have helped Abu Dhabi Ports optimize its efficiency and production across the ports.
The increase across Abu Dhabi Ports signifies escalating export and import activities in relation to the infrastructure and industrial development projects in the Emirate.
