A multinational oil and gas development and transportation company based in Abu Dhabi has entered into a contract with Abu Dhabi Ports to lodge hardware for its Emergency Pipeline Repair System (EPRS) at its newly-developed facility located in Khalifa Industrial Zone (Kizad).
The said facility which sits at 45,388 square meter plot is intended to store and maintain all EPRS hardware until they need. The outlay for the construction of the facility amounts to AED55 million.
The EPRS project will give the gas development company to mediate in a short period and deal with any damage endured by underwater pipelines.
The project integrates the development of a pipeline overhaul faculty that comprises the organization, resources, documentation and procedures that reinforce intermediation, reclamation, and repair in the shortest period possible.
The company’s Dolphin Gas Project has achieved 30% of the UAE’s needed energy supply every day so it is a momentous strategic advantage.
The first main equipment order for two subsea pipe handling frames is projected to be awarded by mid of April 2016 while the delivery is expected in August 2017.
The new marine facility is planned for delivery in September 2017 and conclusion of the EPRS project will likely fall in 2018.
