Development works at Dubai’s Rashid Hospital’s Trauma and Emergency Centre in on target for finishing point in May.
In a report, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) revealed that the $43 million project was 60% concluded. When it is completed there will be 160 hospital beds.
The development of the trauma centre is the first phase of the Rashid Hospital master plan that was divulged in May 2013.
The $490 million which is equivalent to AED3 billion project comprises six new specialized health centres, one four-star and another five-star hotel, villas and flats for staff accommodation, a mosque, lake way and landscaping and open zones for children and families.
The main hospital will be reconstructed and will have three towers. Every tower will be seven storied and will have 300 beds, carrying the total facility to 900 beds.
